Pediatric Recommendations: Some Valuable Resources

Here Are My Pediatric Recommendations – A Couple Valuable Resources to Keep Your Kids Healthy

There are some great resources out there in the “digital world.” Some great websites, blogs and “mommy blogs,” that provide us with accurate, trustworthy information for how to keep ourselves and our families safe and healthy without yet another course of antibiotics. This brief post is meant to bring two such resources to your attention. I recommend these two sites. I endorse them, without reservation, as valued resources for your family – because both sites have have been valued resources for me and my own family. For long-time readers of the boogordoctor, you may recognize the names Hana Solomon, and Robin Green. Both have generously contributed articles for my Ask the Expert series here on boogordoctor. Even though Hana Solomon is a general pediatrician, and even though Robin Green is a general acupuncturist, I consider both of them to be valuable resources for my pediatric patients with respiratory ailments: things like allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, otitis, tonsillitis, adenoiditis, etc. That’s what this post is about: some valuable resources, some pediatric recommendations that will help you care for your family.

For complete transparency, let me state that I have no financial relationship with either of them – yet. However, also note that I endorse their sites and products so strongly, that I think so highly of them both – of their integrity as healthcare providers and vendors in this digital world – that I will certainly look for ways to develop an affiliate relationship with both of them. and “Dr. Hana”

Clearing the Air One Nose at a Time, Dr. Hana Solomon

Dr. Hana, as her patients call her, is a Pediatrician extraodinaire. She provided a great article on How to Teach Your Child to Blow Their Nose, something every parent will appreciate as one of life’s great challenges. Dr. Hana is also founder and owner of the company that makes the nasal saline rinse system,, that is my own choice for nasal saline rinse.

She is also author of the book, Cleaning the Air One Nose at a Time. Awesome book; find it on her site. While visiting, be sure to check out the videos of nasal saline rinses; these include even young children who are successfully performing saline nasal rinses. These may help inspire your own children to “get with the program.” She also has recently added some great products on her site that you will find useful, especially those of you with infants and young kids! videos nasal saline rinses

Let me say that Nasopure is a GOOD company – using high-quality, natural products made in the USA, assembled by Americans with Disabilities, recyclable, free of BPA, and FDA-approved. They offer a satisfaction-guarantee. Good people, selling good products: is a GOOD company!!

And now, for Robin Green’s site, “”

Robin Green is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), as well as a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM). When I was searching for an acupuncturist who was brave enough to be performing acupuncture for children, Robin was the only one I was able to find. Robin generously provided a couple articles for my site on Acupuncture to Treat Asthma in Children.

Take a look at this video of Robin providing acupuncture treatment for a little boy. Impressive:

Robin is the mother of two boys, and she ‘walks the talk’ when it comes to optimal healthcare for her family with minimal medicine; read more About Robin Green for more. If that is a path you are trying to walk with your family, do check out her new site. She has recently built her own blog site. Although she is still sanding off the rough edges, do check it out at  Robin recently published an Infographic on the Statistics of Asthma. Check it out. I especially appreciate articles like the one on 7 Ways to Calm a Cough Your Pediatrician Won’t Tell You. And she has articles like this one on constipation (you gotta love the image!):

So, just like the pic says, if you care about keeping your children healthy, and try to minimize medications and maximize effective remedies, you totally have to check out these two websites. They are great resources.
