This brief post is to express my deep, sincere (and a bit bewildered) gratitude for my readers of this medical education blog site.
It has been exactly three years since I started this blog. It was meant for families of my patients – children with chronic respiratory ailments. Things like asthma associated with rhinitis, sinusitis, allergies, otitis, tonsillitis, adenoiditis, you get the idea. I expected only a few visits per month. After all, this is a pretty narrow group of topics. And, although my patients call me their “boogor doctor” and laugh and giggle, I sort of expected the name of the site to turn most adults off. But readership continues to grow!
I guess that the topics of integrative holistic health strike a popular cord with people. I suppose that, like me, most people want to avoid drugs and surgery whenever possible. There are a lot of us!
There are now nearly 15,000 unique visitors per month to this site! Nearly two thousand people return more than once per month. They read more than 22,000 pages on the site every month. Whoa!
This image is clipped from the boogordoctor Google “analytics” software, showing visitors for last month. Some months more, some months less. Average, about 15,000:
I can hardly wrap my head around that. I am grateful, and humbled that 15,000 people consider my opinion worth reading every month.
So, I thank you all. For including me in your lives. For entrusting me with the health of your children and your families. For sharing your stories, for taking the time from your busy lives to comment, to send emails, to help answer questions from other readers.
Thank you also to those who have purchased items through my Amazon Store. Buying something through my Amazon Store link costs you the same, but the pennies I get back from Amazon (affiliate links) help cover expenses associated with publishing this site.
Thank you also to those who have purchased one (or all) of my 4 eBooks. I appreciate your feedback, your comments, and suggestions; I will be incorporating your suggestions and added tips into future revisions of my eBooks, and those who contributed additional tips will be receiving free new editions.
Thanks also to my international readers: all you folks in India, Australia, New Zealand, and the growing crowd from the Middle East gulf states. A very warm Welcome!
In short, thank you so much for sharing. I am blessed to have you all in my life!
